I was productive this past weekend. I started working on the Roman Holiday (MODA) quilt for the store. Remember, I talked about it here.
There was a lot of cutting. I mean A LOT!! I even started an assembly line hoping to finish the quilt. No such luck! After finishing all the star blocks, I got bored. Instead of working on the alternating blocks, I started doing something else.
I had enough fabric leftover from the tote (photo on lower right) I made a few years ago to make this cute little purse!! Fully lined with a pocket.
Last Thursday afternoon, I went to the local antique mall and found these!
Four pastel eggcups, a shabby chic-style fabric and a vintage embroidered linen table runner. The table runner had holes in the middle and a few stains. But the embroidery was in perfect condition. I decided to make a tote out of it using a Cath Kidston fabric. Matching embroidered panels on both sides. It is fully lined with pockets. I even machine embroidered my own "tag" right above the pockets. What do you think?
