What's new? I'll be taking a class this Saturday. Sharon will be teaching Jelly braids quilt at Donna's shop. I think I'll be using my Moda's Christmas Past jelly rolls. Not sure yet. Anyhoo, she said this pattern is super easy and super fun! I'm supposed to be cutting my jelly rolls tonight instead I was busy doing something else.
A few days ago, Monica sent me some Amish Friendship Bread starter. TODAY is Day 10!!! Woo-hoo! You know what I'm talking about, right? Day 10...BAKING DAY!!!! Me and my friend Henny got busy baking this evening. I added dried cranberries and pineapple chunks and it came out de-lish! Thanks, Monica!
I was enjoying a big fat slice of this yummy bread while sorting my mail. I ordered these from Honeysuckle Cottage. A Christmas Story by Anni Downs. It has some cute holiday projects which I will start next Christmas. I'm not kidding! lol! The Homespun Vol 8.9 has fun projects like this Fab Fishy by Melly & Me. Lots of eye candy!
Well, I thought I'd show you Emma enjoying her bubble wraps while I take another slice of that bread. Toodles!
You're probably wondering why I haven't posted anything. Sooooooo sorry, I 've been a bad and lazy blogger. You read it right, I'm a LAZY BLOGGER! I was busy doing nothing. NOTHING I tell yah!!!! All right, I was watching the US Open. Tennis is the only sport I get. I don't get men running around in tights chasing a funny looking ball. Sweetie is getting tired of explaining the game to me over and over and over...
Oooh, I have to tell you something. I might have to start watching soccer. Why? Just so I can watch David Beckham run, kick, head butt whatever. I don't really know the game. I just want to watch the pretty boy do his thing, ok? LOL! Oh well. Let's get on with the mail, shall we?
Pretty Little Things
Sara Jane finally made it home! In fact, she's been here for over 2 weeks now. Sylvia is ecstatic SJ is here to live with us. They're becoming fast friends, you know. Look at all the cool stuff she brought home with her! Thanks a lot, Lori!
Let me tell you something about this talented woman, she has been selected as the "Aspiring Woman for September 2007" by the Aspire Life Coaches. Way to go Lori!
A new bunny in da house!
Jennifer Murphy is another talented gal with the cutest softies to die for. Love her stuff! Meet August bunny. Adorable!
Japanese books/mags and fabrics
I told you I'm addicted to these things! Can't help it. You'll find scads and scads of eye candy. Of course, deciphering japanese heiroglyph is something of a challenge. At least for me. But it doesn't really matter because I enjoy drooling over everything. Sensei Japanese crafters, domo arigato gozaimashite. Simply, thank you Japanese crafters for making me a very happy jap-craft addict. OMG, I can speak japanese! Just kidding. I looked it up. Anyhoo, the fabrics and some of the mags are from Superbuzzy. Check out that place as often as you can especially the sale section. Look at the picture on the lower right corner. I have the same vintage fabric. Cool! What are the odds of that ever hapening? To me? Zero, my friends.
CK-rack time!
Yesss, I'm showing you my newly acquired CK loot. Looooove everything especially this little mushroom pin cushion. Stinkin' cute!
That's all for now! I can't promise I'll behave and post regularly but I will try. Toodles!
Friday afternoon snack: Fruit tart. Mmmmmmm...YUMMY!!! That didn't last long. I think I need another one.
Mail call! September issue of Country Living. A nice card from Sharon. Actually, she's screaming at me to get back to crafting and blogging soon! Soon Sharon, soon. I promise. REALLY!!! Anyhoo, I just bought Martha's Good Things for Kids. Look at that gumdrop-studded cake. It looks yummy, doesn't it? Obviously, I'm still hungry.
A bloggy welcome to a friend. Please hop on over to Cheryl's blog, Polka Dots & Rick Rack and give her a warm bloggy welcome. Cheryl, I'm so happy you finally got your blog up and running. Yipeeeee!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Toodles!
Last week, I received this ADORABLE bunny from one of my Bunny Swap partners, Dawn. Oh so CUTE!!! And three Robyn Pandolph (love her too!) fat quarters from her Hannah Bella collection. Very pretty! Dawn, thank you very much!!! I LOVE it! BTW, our hostess, Debra of HopHopJingleBoo posted slideshows of all the bunnies made for the swap. Check it out!
I finally received all fabric bundles from participants of the Fabric Swap. Thanks to all my partners Dana, Dawn, Jen D., Jen K., Missy, Kate, Sarah, Melissa D., and Claire. And a big thanks to our hostess Jen D. I haven't figured out what to do with these wonderful fabrics. Although I want to do something I can share with all of them. You can see my fabric bundles that I gave to my swappy partners over here.
I got this cute Honey Bear from Missy's shop and it arrived Thursday! I love the 'shroom on her head. Stinkin' cute!!!! Of course, Missy always add something extra like this cute notepad, pin and the sparkly letter "D"! tee-hee! Thanks Missy!

OK, I'm back!!! Sorry for waiting. OMG, check out these stuff from the nice mailman! The August issue of Country Living , Australian craft magazines and Japanese stitchery books!!!! I feel like I'm on crack when it comes to Japanese craft books! LOOOOOVE IT!!! I blame...nope, I would like to thank all the wonderful bloggers who posted photos of Japanese magazines/books and made me into a Jap-craft addict! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
K, let's start with Country Living magazine. Yummy vintage stuff!
Stitcheries galore!!! I've got a drool bucket around my neck right now! Page after page of wonderful stitcheries. Hot diggity-damn, I want to make all of 'em!
Now check out the Australians, mate! Love 'em too.
Alright, I gotta go drool over these magazines and books some more. Have a wonderful weekend! Toodles!
Not much really just trying to get out of trouble and the heat. I've been catatonic lately due to our infernal weather averaging in the high 90's for over a week now. Ughhh! Summer is going to be hell!!!!
Thanks to Miss Jen for making me twitch a little by asking me to join her Fabric Swap party. Great! Picking 50 different fabrics was the fun and easy part. Cutting 500 5" squares, um...not so much! I hope my swappy partners like the fabrics I picked for them.
I tried not to get into trouble but then...another friendly swap! Thanks to Missy, one of my fabric swap partners, for persuading me to join this one. I'm excited and nervous at the same time because I'm a newbie at this. This is the only bunny I made so far. She has a severe case of hydrocephalus. Poor thing. Her cute little tail is the only thing that's keeping her from falling flat on her face. Try not to look too close please! I thought I scared away my bunny partner because I haven't heard from her for almost a week. I told her I'm not much of a bunny maker but not to worry I won't be giving her anything crappy or F-UGLY!!! Our talented hostess, Debra Schoch was kind enough to find me another partner (Dawn) but then my first partner(Julie) finally came-a-calling. OMG, the pressure is on now that I have two swappy partners! I'll attempt to make another "wabbit" or two this weekend. I just hope the handmade bunnies will not look like road kill. lol! Don't worry partners, just in case of a disaster I'll buy better looking bunnies at the local gift shop.
I'm in really big trouble now because I looove Darlene Zimmerman's new fabric line so what did I do? I joined the club! Sunrise tea cozy is the kit for the month of June. Isn't it cute?!!! And look at the yummy fabrics! Where's my drool bucket?! If you're interested to know more about the club and the new fabric collection just hop on over here.
Have I mentioned my "unmentionables"? Well, you're looking at it. It is MY very own "panty pouch" made by another amazingly talented lady. I had to have it as soon as I saw it! I could write a book about Lori Marie and her "Pretty Little Things" but it is better to just check out her blog and you'll see what I mean! You never want to leave her blog. I can only describe it as cotton candy sweet! Lori, you ROCK!!!!
Wonderful Deb, the winner of my Mother's Day giveaway, sent me these lovely things. I especially love the mini album cover! tee-hee! Thanks Deb!
A gift from one of the ladies from my Monday night quilting! She's so cute! Thanks Air Force Kathy!
I got these over at Jen's shop. I bought the wallpaper pack as a gift for a friend but having a closer look at all the wonderful things inside is making it really hard to let go. Does anyone know where the off button on my conscience is? Just kidding. I'm sure my friend is going to love it! At least I get to keep the bouquet. tee-hee. BTW, Jen is also one of my fabric swap partners. Thanks Jen!
All these goodies are from my friend Cheryl. She also gave me that stinkin' cute Easter igloo for my bunny and her friend Chicklet! Loooove it! I don't know what possessed her to do such a thing because it's not even my birthday. Thank you so much Cheryl! You're too much!
Alright,You're probably sick and tired of reading about ME, MY stuff, MY friends and more ME! Well, that's all I have to say for now until I have more on the same subject. LOL! In the meantime, enjoy the weekend. Toodles!
